UVA Selected as Cohort of the JUMP Undergraduate Research Initiative

Four Cohorts at U.S. research universities were selected to offer the Joint University Microelectronics Program (JUMP) Undergraduate Research Initiative (URI), including the University of Virginia. URI is an academic year long program that both exposes undergraduates to career opportunities associated with JUMP sponsors, and illustrates the benefits of obtaining an advanced degree in a technical area related to microelectronics and computer science. It combines a structured undergraduate research experience with PhD student and faculty mentorship. Each fall, a subset of the year's URI fellows will be invited to SRC's TECHCON student showcase to share and enrich their URI experience.
